Feelings That Cannot Be Expressed (言えぬ想い Ienu Omoi) is the second episode of Hakuouki: Sweet School Life (Live Action). It aired on October 1, 2015. The story of Sweet School Life is set in the modern-day Japan with all the Hakuouki characters re-imagined accordingly. Instead of being samurai and fighting for their ideals, all the characters are now school teachers or students, and their day-to-day life is filled with more trivial matters, such as exams and school events. The Live Action version is meant to be a comedy with character personality enhancement, multiple references to the original story and light-hearted vibes overall.
Plot

The Shinsengumi arrive to a building where Chizuru is held captive and start a fight in order to free her. After Hijikata takes her hand and takes her out of the room, he and the others have to make make sure nobody attacks her. Caught in the middle of the battlefield, Chizuru is scared and does not know what to do, wondering only whether their destiny would change if they all were born in another era...

Okita, Chizuru and Heisuke are late
Heisuke and Chizuru are late for school on the last day of exams because Heisuke overslept. As they reach the bottom of the stairs, Chizuru gets swooped away by Okita who is also running late. As the time comes for the classes to start, Saitou and Kaoru, members of the Disciplinary Committee, close the gates, and the trio is officially late. Okita tries to convince Saitou to let them in as it is barely a few seconds, but Saitou is determined to uphold the rules. Seeing that Chizuru is late, Kaoru scolds her claiming that he feels ashamed as her brother. Hijikata-sensei comes close to the gate and points out that Souji needs exam points in Japanese Classic Literature due to his lack of attendance, but Souji makes a snarky comment that he could work harder if Hijikata-sensei was not his teacher.
The exam in Harada's classroom is over, and he moves to the teachers' room where Shinpachi comes in a very good Friday mood, but Harada reminds his colleague that he has tons of papers to grade, unlike Harada who teaches PE. Eventually, Harada agrees to go partying but insists on splitting the bill, and Shinpachi starts begging him to pay as he himself has no money. Hearing their discussion, Itou interferes and states that it is irresponsible, and they should grade the exam papers without a second of delay instead of going out.
Kazama is planning a surprise
Meanwhile, Kazama is plotting his new step towards conquering Chizuru's heart since the exams are over. He is convinced that since they have already eaten together, they are practically engaged. Shiranui's attempts to explain something fail. Kazama plans a surprise for Chizuru. He wants to buy her an engagement ring.
Chizuru meets Heisuke before his kendo practice and notices that something is wrong but he cannot bring himself to tell her. Saitou joins their conversation, and Heisuke leaves. Chizuru makes an unclear comment, and Saitou's heart starts racing but when she explains herself and leaves, Saitou starts wondering why his heart is beating faster around her.
Okita takes a picture with Chizuru
As she walks out of the school, Chizuru sees Okita on the roof. He looks at her and falls down, scaring her and making her run towards him. As it turns out, he pranked her to lure her to the roof with him to see the sunset. Chizuru asks whether it is okay for Okita not to go to the kendo practice, and he replies that he does not want to go, remembering how Kondou-san claimed that "Toshi" (Hijikata-sensei whom Okita dislikes) pulls the school improving its prestige, which put Souji out of mood. Chizuru confesses that she is not used to the school yet, and Souji's mood changes as he starts teasing her and taking pictures of her and with her.
The kendo practice finishes, and Saitou asks Heisuke about his problems since Heisuke had a lot of opening during the fight. But Heisuke only talks back saying that Saitou's attacks were not optimal either. Saitou wonders about his heart once again.
Chizuru makes a hole with her ring finger
Chizuru is left alone on the rooftop and quickly found by Amagiri and Shiranui. They ask her to push through a sheet of paper with her ring finger but do not explain why. As she does it, they happily run away.
Okita encounters Hijikata-sensei who asks him whether he did the tests properly but Okita replies that Hijikata needs to look at his papers to find out. At the same time, Shinpachi and Harada are busy grading papers and Shinpachi asks Itou to help since he is not busy. Itou attempts to joke it off claiming he is an art teacher, but Sano threatens to report him to Kondou and Hijikata for goofing around the whole exam period. Itou instantly runs to them and starts apologizing asking for mercy.
As Amagiri and Shiranui bring the pierced paper to Kazama, he tells them about a belief that if a man's pinky is the same size as a woman's ring finger, they are compatible in love. However, when he tries to put his pinky in the hole, the paper tears much more. Shiranui laughs, and Kazama blames Amagiri who denies his mistake, and Kazama claims that he will not accept this.
Heisuke practices alone in the dojo trying to fight his frustration about his unspoken feelings for Chizuru and his jealousy for Hijikata who walked Chizuru home the day before.
