HakuMyu Harada Sanosuke-hen is the tenth musical in the HakuMyu series.

Plot

ACT 1

  1. "Monokuro no Tsuki" New main character song for Harada which becomes his main leitmotif and theme for the duration of the play
  2. "Chizuru" "New Chizuru chracter song which becomes her main theme and leitmotif
    1. New arrangement of "Yaisa! Yaisa! Yaisa!" which has a similar overall structure to the Okita-hen version. Main difference is the opening instrumentation and Harada's new solo verse.
    2. SAMURAI FUTURE, identical to instrumental Okita-hen version with short insert Okita solo
    3. Chizuru sings Yoiyami no Machi in an identical fashion to Okita-hen's sequence
    4. final "Yaisa! Yaisa! Yaisa!" verse which concludes the sequence
    1. "Shinsengumi Taishi part 1" A new song that features Kondou, Hijikata and Souji, shown in a flashback while Harada is telling Chizuru about their past. This song becomes a recurring theme for the shinsengumi's bond.
    2. A new song which is roughly equivalent to "Asonde Bakka Jyanai Ze" in content and plot function, titled "Shinsengumi Taishi Part 2"
    3. Saito has a solo
  3. "(Hokori Shiranu Mono)" New Kazama solo song. The musical styling is very heavily steeped in metal and hard rock. This theme also becomes recurring and largely replaces Kazama's other character themes
  4. "Akai Shizuku" New Sannan solo which includes some musical cues from Aware na Mouja; largely replaces that theme as Sannan's character theme
  5. New equivalent to Beautiful drunkards titled "Utage"
    1. A beat-for-beat re-use of the "Ano Hi no Chikai" track from Okita-hen. The instrumentation and pacing is identical, apart from some slight lyrical revisions to fit the play.
    2. As it is the identical backing music to the Okita-hen version of Ano HI no Chikai, Chizuru sings her original unique musical moment, but now revised to be about asking Heisuke to return to the Shinsengumi.
    3. A reprise of "Monokuro no Tsuki"
    4. A reprise of "Shinsengumi Taishi part 1" with Heisuke, Sanosuke and Shinpachi
  6. "Tanoshiku Ikiru" a duet between Harada and Chizuru featuring new melodies as well as melodies from "Chizuru"
    1. "(Shinsengumi no Tamashii)" a new Shinsengumi theme which is reused over the rest of the play
    2. Koudou appears and sings Sannan's song "(Want the Great Power)" but with new lyrics
    1. Shiranui new solo "(Ningen no Kuse ni)"
    2. Harada sings a short solo in response, and Chizuru joins in the fight with her own theme
    3. Reprise of "(Shinsengumi no Tamashii)"
