Hakuouki SSL: Sweet School Life (薄桜鬼 SSL) is a 2015 romantic comedy drama miniseries directed by Kensaku Miyashita and developed by SPO Entertainment. The series is an adaptation of the 2014 video game Hakuouki SSL, which is a spinoff of the otome video game series Hakuouki. It follows Chizuru Yukimura during her first year at Hakuo Academy, where she is the only female student, and the male teachers and students there that become close to her.
Its screenplay was written by Miyashita and Shintarô Sugawara, with the music composed by Masahiko Kurahori. Akihisa Itabashi, Shinsuke Wada and Midori Okude worked as the series producers. It features six episodes and was originally aired on Tokyo MX in September, 2015.
The miniseries was followed by the film Hakuouki SSL: Sweet School Life - The Movie, which was released the following year in February, 2016.[1]
