Overview
Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms could be considered one game split into two parts. They correlate with the first two seasons of the anime, Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan and Hakuouki: Hekketsuroku respectively. Shinkai Fukaden combined these two games into one whole game (the same way as the anime is often uploaded as 22 episodes called Hakuouki). Tsukikage no Shou and Ginsei no Shou serve both as a midquel and sequel to Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms. Tsukikage no Shou focuses on Hijikata, Okita, Kazama, Sannan, Iba, and Yamazaki, while Ginsei no Shou focuses on the other half of the bachelors (Saitou, Heisuke, Harada, Shinpachi, Souma and Sakamoto). Tenun no Shou can be considered a sequel to Ginsei no Shou and Tsukikage no Shou that reveals more details about the Shinsengumi in their youth that were not part of the main story.
Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms are both available in English, however, Tsukikage no Shou, Ginsei no Shou and Tenun no Shou only have the original Japanese dub and subtitles.
