Keisuke Ōtori (大鳥 圭介 Ootori Keisuke) is a character in Hakuōki. He is an educated man dedicated to helping modernize the shogunate forces' tactics.
His character is based on the historical Japanese military leader Ōtori Keisuke.
Personality
Otori is a cheerful, polite man. Though not pacifistic, he is diplomatic, and is devoted to ensuring that the shogunate forces get through the war with as few casualties as possible. His natural talent for peacemaking is useful on both a small and a large scale, as he is responsible for de-escalating an argument between Iba and Souma on the latter's route as well as negotiating a peaceful surrender after the Battle of Hakodate.
Since he has a bright sense of humor and is generally optimistic, Otori is fond of teasing more serious people such as Hijikata and Souma on their respective routes, particularly about their relationships with Chizuru.
Background
Otori Keisuke is based on the historical figure of the same name, Ootori Keisuke.

Otori is portrayed by Maeuchi Takafumi in HakuMyu Hijikata-hen and LIVE, and by Hashimoto Taito in HakuMyu Hijikata-hen 2.
