Kotarō Motoyama (本山 孝太朗, Motoyama Kotarou) is a support character who appeared in Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms (does not appear in the anime).
Personality
Motoyama is very shy and jumpy around the Shinsengumi, often stuttering when addressing any of its members. However, he is talkative and playful when relaxed, and enjoys poking fun at his friend Iba Hachiro about his budding relationship with Chizuru Yukimura, often being on the way when Iba and Chizuru are meant to stay alone.
Motoyama is not a very skilled swordsman which is why he is often scared being among the Shinsengumi members. He followed Iba to Kyoto and he serves the Bakufu but he does not participate in any major events.
Background
Motoyama Kotaro is based on the historical figure of the same name, Motoyama Kotarou.
In Hakuōki: Kyoto Winds and Hakuōki: Edo Blossoms
Motoyama appears exclusively on Hachirou Iba's route and is not mentioned on other routes.
