Oume was the name of the woman who was believed to be the real Serizawa Kamo's mistress that was killed along with him in his bed.
Appearance & Personality
Oume has long, soft blonde hair that appears to be kept in a French twist, save for a few stray strands of hair that sit around her face and purple eyes.
Oume is a gentle, polite and soft-spoken young woman who is not afraid to show her tougher side and resolve when necessary.
Story
Oume used to be the wife of the tailor who made the uniform for the Rōshigumi; Serizawa had the uniforms custom made for the Rōshigumi as a surprise, however, he never paid for the work, which made trouble for Oume, who was sent many times to collect the fee at the threats of her husband, but to no avail. Oume's husband told her not to return home until she had collected his money from Serizawa. Oume remained determined and came each day to ask for the money owed by Serizawa. Serizawa lied about not having the money to pay her, told his servants to claim that he was away, and ignored her. Finally, Serizawa offered her to stay at the Rōshigumi headquarters since her husband had kicked her out. As she continued to stay by his side, she attempted to kill him but failed, and her wrath changed to admiration as Serizawa let her stay despite that. She got to know about Serizawa's illness and his love life story. When Serizawa realized Hijikata and others were about to kill him, he gave Oume the money he owed her and told her to leave but she chose to refuse and begged to stay by his side. Not willing to let her get involved in the mess, Serizawa kills her by himself in her sleep.
