Hijikata Shitan completely rewrites Chizuru's first opening song into a duet with Kazama. The lyrics are now more general, allowing Kazama's darker feelings for Hijikata to also be expressed.

Kazama enters the song at the third line, and he actually does a play on words which changes the meaning. They both sing "sono chi kara", Chizuru using the word "chi" meaning "land" and Kazama using "Chi" as in "blood" which adds a sense of forboding to the song. Chizuru is tacet for the final line, which is replaced with a Kazama solo line.
